Our vacations!

Braden and I were both lucky enough to take our own special vacations!  Braden's vacation involved somethings he loves, and mine involved somethings I love!  Both of our vacations were short, but we both had a great time!

My vacation.... Ohio!  I was able to fly to Ohio and spend four days with my brother Jordan, my sister-in-law Heather, my mom, and my TWO nieces Jadyn and Hadlee!  I timed it just right so I would get to be there for all the Halloween festivities! It was so fun!

Here is Hadlee all dressed up in her lady bug costume! It was way too big for her, she's actually all wrapped up tight inside, and throughout the night she would slip down into it and it would almost cover her face! So cute!

I even dressed up too!  I thought it would be fun for Jadyn if I dressed up... I don't know how much she really cared..  ha ha but it was still fun!  Here is a picture of me and Hadlee in our costumes.

When Jadyn came home from trick-or-treating she got to have one treat, she picked nerds. This is how she ate them.

Her face was covered in nerds!

Here are just a few more pictures from my trip (unfortunately I didn't take very many).

Here's Jadyn with her bff Whitney

I flew home late Sunday night. Braden and I got to spend all day Monday together, and then Tuesday morning he left for... Vegas!  Braden got to go to the SEMA car show with his dad! They saw lots of cars, went golfing, ate lots of food, did a little gambling, and even met Snoop Dogg!  Braden is worse than I am at taking pictures so there aren't very many from his trip.

This is a LP670 Lamborghini that Braden go to ride in! TopGear is coming out with an American addition.
(I donno.. this is Braden's love)

This is Ken Block's (the best rally car driver) Ford Focus

Braden also got to go golfing with his dad at an amazing tropical golf course! It was called Bali Hai Golf Course.  Braden loved it because he played really well and even beat his dad!
(That hasn't happened for a long time)

Braden, so happy to be golfing!

Lately..

I told myself I was going to be really good about posting, but of course, it has been over a month since I last posted.  School and work pretty much keep Braden and I busy all the time, but here are some highlights of our life lately.

1. Birthday dinner with Braden's family for Jeremy and Charity (Cameron's gf)
2. Bowling with Cameron and Charity
3. Frightmares (only saw one show, but hopefully we'll get to go again)
4. Carving pumpkins with Kristen and date (Blake.. I think)
Braden's pumpkin

My pumpkin (it's an owl, I shouldn't have waited so long to take these pics)

5. Craft night with my mom and Kristen where we made fall stars.

My star (I think they turned out super cute)

6. Last but definitely not least, our niece Hadlee June Humbert was born!

I love this picture of Hadlee with her big sister Jadyn

I really wish that we took more pictures of all the fun things that we do.. but I'm really terrible about remembering to take pictures.  I will try and do better.

Here is our house.. this is not all of it.. I don't have a picture of our room clean and with the bed made (sad), so that will be coming later along with the guest room which needs to be organized as well.. :-)

Honeymoon

Since I only started this blog recently I wasn't able to share our honeymoon pictures with everyone.  Braden I went to Durango,Colorado for our honeymoon! It was a ton of fun and I wish I had more pictures.  I accidentally erased some of our favorite pictures that we took! We also forgot to take a bunch of pictures, so we don't have any pictures from our white water river rafting trip.   But here are some of the things we did!

One of the first things we did was take a train from Durango to Ouray what they call the little Switzerland of America.  It was a beautiful 3 hour train ride and I took a bunch of pictures, all of which I erased...  But here are some of the highlights from Ouray.

This is where we ate lunch, it's called Mother Cluckers and it was delicious

Some of the town.

One of our favorite things we did was rent a Jeep and go up on the mountain trails.  We followed a group for a while and then decided to venture off on our own.

While jeeping we got to see a lot of old mines and ghost towns as well as some amazing waterfalls!
One of the mines
This was my favorite old house, they said it was probably the mine owners home since it was so much larger than the others.
We picked up one of the tour workers and she decided to stick with us the rest of the day, so this is me and her inside the old house.

As we were leaving we quickly took this picture of the place that we stayed in Durango.  We loved our little room.  It was cute and cozy and had a great view of the mountain.

Obviously there was a lot more that we saw and did but this is just a short overview.  We had a ton of fun and I really want to go back again someday!

Here we go.. into the blogging world

People keep telling me that I need to get a blog.  Braden is working late tonight, so what better to do than to create one? I'm still an amateur, but I'm figuring it out.  Hopefully my next post will be much more entertaining than this one..
